Brian Havener


Brian Havener is an architectural designer whose work and research approaches material through its capacity to both construct and manipulate spatial perception. He is a teaching associate for the first-year design studio sequence at Cornell University, as well as a research associate for the Robotic Construction Lab, where he is developing novel methods of timber construction through the aid of digital fabrication and robotics. Havener is also a recipient of the CASAPOLI Research Residency, located at the award-winning Casa Poli, designed by Pezo von Ellrichshausen.

Havener has practiced most recently at OMA New York and the offices of Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill in Chicago. He holds a master of architecture from Cornell University and a bachelor of science in architecture from the University of Cincinnati.
